Writing and backstory
May. 17th, 2008 11:04 amSo, how many other writers find themselves with all sorts of backstory and worldbuilding information that they can't quite put into their stories?
For instance I made a post with all the worldbuilding I couldn't put into my matriarchal Wutai story, and in one of my other roads diverged stories I know that Hojo started off with nearly twenty children in the programme that produced Sephiroth, of those five were 'released from their contracts' when they proved not to be suitable and sent to orphanages, and all the others except Sephiroth were sold, twelve as pretty much sex slaves and two ended up doing the same sort of thing Sephiroth does in this AU. and in one of my kinkfest stories Sephiroth's intersex and even if he doesn't know it Hojo was giving him drugs to keep him from becoming fertile, until Cloud killed Hojo.
