I finally got the chance to sit down and read this through. I find the idea of Klaus being the weaker of the two intriguing.
A couple of things. As interesting as all this is, Klaus spends a lot of time explaining things, but not a whole lot is actually happening. Personally, I am rather fond of dialogue, but I did get lost in some places when it is very unclear who is speaking. Especially when there are 3 males in the scene and the only reference is "he."
And speaking of pronouns, the references to Klaus in female form as "she" were jarring to me. Hard to reconcile with the Uber-Alpha male Major. But, that's just me. XD
