Coming in rather late here - just to let you know I found the dub-con bits interesting. I could get the implications you were trying to give with the "marking territory" behaviours Cloud was performing - it helped that a lot of the mental dialogue he was having prior to that did seem a lot more primal (for want of a better word) than civilised. Cloud strikes me as a civilised person, while Sephiroth, oddly enough, is much more primal and instinctual (probably due to lack of socialisation as a child). His reaction seemed realistic as well - despite the mental manipulation he's been undergoing, there's still enough "Cloud" in there that he's shocked at the way he behaved, and horrified that he could have been so inconsiderate. The selfishness of the dub-con bits is also completely in character, too - although it's closer to the game-canon Cloud and the Advent Children Cloud, tied up in his own feelings and not reaching out past them to anyone else.
I've read the first ten parts of this series, and I'd be interested in seeing more.
