Thanks for commenting. I'm glad that it did come across clearly enough, that Cloud really was out of his mind at the time. Again, part of the selfishness came from the mental manipulations, and I'm glad I've managed to keep them both in character for you.
As for posting more...I've got a sort of beta who I sometimes run the more extreme scenes by, to make sure that I'm writing something reasonable, and that my notes about how those scenes differ from good BDSM practice are extensive enough. Unfortunately she's got RL problems, and one of the scenes in the next chapter was...really bad, bad enough that my initial version apparently read more like a gang rape than the - badly managed - planned and consensual scene it was mmeant to be. And I handled the aftercare badly, because I was reluctant to get far enough into Sephiroth's head after what I'd just put him through. So I won't be posting chapter 11 until I've got the go ahead for one of the two rewrites I did on that scene.
