2) Shuuichi does care about Youko, maybe even love him, at least a bit, but he'll never consider Youko his equal, not after he failed to take control from Shuuichi when he was ten.
3) Shuuichi does love his mother, enough to take the calculated gamble of using the Mirror of Utter Darkness to wish for her happiness, but Youko loves her more than Shuuichi does.
3a) Shuuichi doesn't really acknowledge it, even to himself, but he suspects that the 'seed' of his love for his mother comes from Youko's love for her.
