Well, shopping isn't really something either of them enjoy that much, and none of the Terenevs are quite principled enough to give up the financial benefits they get from maintaining the current system, especially as none of them see it as wrong. Besides, almost all the Terenevs see their pleasure slaves as being adopted into the Family to some degree.
