Interesting. Does Antoinette know what happened to cause the scaring? I'm very curious about that as not much seems to be said about it. Also, the slight glimpse I have of society right now isn't telling me how the two could have met. Was the courting arranged with right of refusal? Also, this may be because I'm older (55) and use different language or something, but I was surprised at Rafiyah using the language "fuck me now." - unless maybe 'make love' is a different context? I know I've gotten into arguments about the use of "fuck" with younger people before. But then I also worked at a stock brokers where cussing wasn't deemed appropriate. All that being said, I didn't spot any obvious typos and I'm definitely intrigued enough to continue reading with interest, so I'd say its a good start - for what that's worth. LOL!
